'A dollar put into a book and a book mastered
might change the whole course of a boy's life' - Henry

Crossword aims to be a point of cultural and social
interaction, where authors and poets hold court, where children
are regaled, where people gravitate to be informed, to be
entertained, to be enlightened.
Our stores are platforms
for interactions between authors and readers, forums for
discussions on a wide variety of subjects ranging from Indian
writing in English to India's Nuclear Programme to ERP to Child
Sexual Abuse.
Among the numerous writers who have visited
the store are Arundhati Roy, Vikram Chandra, Vikram Seth, Kiran
Nagarkar, Andrew Motion, Michele Roberts, Sashi Tharoor, Shobha
De, Charles Handy and Jack Canfield. Promotional events include
pictionary contests, quizzes, slide-shows and the annual affair
with Santa and his elves. Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull came for a
signing, so did Macho Man Randy Savage, the WWF
champion.
In our endeavour to inculcate the reading habit
amongst children, we have a weekly reading programme for children
of various age groups. There is no pre-condition or fee required
to participate, we would be delighted to have your children join
us. To learn more about the specific events at a Crossword store
near you, mail at bookrewards@shoppersstop.co.in
